Happy birthday to my youngest daughter! We all call her AP. It’s short for Ashlee Paige. We’re on a youth trip to Colorado and today is her 17th birthday. This gal right here is something special. She is funny, sarcastic and very witty. She is a loyal friend, loves kids, has a heart as big as Texas, makes fantastic grades ( we just don’t talk about that one semester of sophomore year) and loves Jesus! I am so proud of the young lady she has become. I cannot wait to see what the journey ahead has ready for her. I am so proud God chose me to be her Mom.
Poked myself in the ey…scratch that. STABBED myself in the eye. Missed two exits on my errands. Had a physical and discovered I have gained 9lbs and am, in fact NOT 5’6″, but 5’4″.
I’ll just be on the couch with one hand over my eye and the other hand scrolling through memes about being short. I may throw an occasional bite of pie in there. Might as well make it an even 10lbs! #glamlife #blessed
I just threw away a container of baking powder from 1997. I should either bake more or clean more….
Do not judge me.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
