Parades, Turkey & Tears

My morning: woke up. Realized that I couldn’t watch The Macy’s parade because our cable box is broken. Started crying. Yep. Crying. But it wasn’t really about the parade. I miss my Grandparents. I miss my Grandma Betty and Grandpa Doral fussing about how much salt he was putting in the turkey. I miss playing marbles with my Grandma Juanita. I miss when the girls were little and they would help me make pie. But I know that life has to move forward. Things change. I am thankful. Even for the tears. It means loving memories and a full heart.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.
